The Saskatoon Bluegrass Society was founded
in 2002 to promote bluegrass music and provide a forum for
bluegrass pickers to get together and jam.

We meet once every three or so weeks for
a structured jam session. Click for
the full schedule.
Meetings/jams are held in the old Nurses'
Residence at St. Paul's Hospital, 1702 – 20th Street,
Saskatoon, SK S7M 0Z9, Saskatoon. Typically we hold
a slow pitch jam in one room, where beginners and less advanced
players can participate in playing songs and tunes at a comfortable
speed.
More advanced players often congregate
in another room for unstructured and improvisational jam sessions.
Although our jam sessions are targeted at musicians
and active pickers, small groups of observers are welcome.
In the near future we also will be promoting
bluegrass concerts open to the general public.
